Welcome to Bass 2D Fishing Game (the "Game" or "Bass 2D"), provided by the developer of Bass 2D (the "Developer," "we," or "us"). By creating an account, playing as a guest, or otherwise using the Game, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
1. Who May Play
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Players under 18 should review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian.
- You may play certain features (Fun Fishing and Leaderboards) as a guest without an account, but tournament entry, 1v1 Duels, Practice mode, and profile features require a registered account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2. Your Account and Display Name
- When you register, you choose a gamertag (display name) and a boat color that other players see above your boat and on leaderboards.
- You agree not to choose a gamertag that is offensive, misleading, impersonates another person, or violates anyone's rights. We may rename or suspend accounts with inappropriate names.
- You may update your gamertag and boat color from your profile at any time.
3. Game Modes and Fair Play
Bass 2D offers several modes:
- Fun Fishing — public, shared lobbies where multiple anglers fish the same lake and compete for the same shared fish population.
- Online Tournaments — weekly events scored on your heaviest five-bass bag, with a limited number of attempts per week.
- 1v1 Duels — head-to-head matches, auto-matched, that may pair you with a human opponent or a computer-controlled "bot."
- Practice — solo timed sessions for improving your skills.
- Leaderboards — public rankings of past tournament results.
You agree to play fairly and not to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automation/tools to gain an unfair advantage;
- Tamper with catch data, weights, or scores;
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other players in lobbies or via any in-game communication;
- Attempt to disrupt the servers, lobbies, or another player's session.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate fair-play rules, and we may void tournament or duel results obtained through cheating.
4. User-Generated Content
- Content you create includes your gamertag and any catch records, tournament results, and duel outcomes attributed to you.
- You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display your gamertag, catches, and rankings within the Game and on its leaderboards.
- You are responsible for ensuring any content you contribute (e.g., your display name) does not infringe others' rights.
5. Virtual Game Elements
- Fish, catches, tournament results, and leaderboard rankings are part of the Game experience. They have no cash value and are not transferable, tradeable, or redeemable.
- We may adjust, reset, or rebalance game mechanics (including fish populations, scoring, and leaderboards) at any time to keep the Game fair and fun.
6. Tournaments and Rankings
- Weekly tournaments run on a defined schedule; results are final once a tournament is marked complete, except where a rules violation is identified.
- Tournament scoring favors the heaviest five-fish bag, with tie-breakers based on your single heaviest fish and then your two heaviest fish.
- We reserve the right to correct scoring errors, remove invalid entries, and re-rank players if needed.
7. Availability and Changes
- The Game is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, mode, map, or the entire Game at any time without notice.
- We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Game's code or data;
- Scrape leaderboards or lobby data for purposes outside the Game;
- Use the Game for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
- Interfere with other players' gameplay or the shared fish population in lobbies.
9. Intellectual Property
- The Game, its artwork, fish illustrations, lake designs, sounds, and branding are owned by the Developer or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.
- You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Game without permission.
10. Disclaimers
- The Game is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant that the Game will be error-free, that fish behavior or scoring will be perfectly accurate, or that multiplayer lobbies will always be available.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, game progress, or rankings, arising from your use of or inability to use the Game.
12. Termination
- You may stop using the Game at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms or to protect the Game community.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence to the extent permitted, and any disputes will be handled in good faith. If you are in the United States, they will be interpreted in accordance with applicable U.S. and state law.
